My Philosophy

All About Me

My professional journey has taken diverse turns, evolving from an engineering career to my current role as a dedicated nutritionist. With over 12 years of experience since earning my MS in Nutrition, I've had the privilege of working with individuals and groups, guiding them towards improved well-being through the power of real food.

My personal health challenges became the catalyst for my transition into nutrition. Enduring nearly two decades of severe fatigue, weight struggles, depression, and anxiety, I persevered, concealing my internal battles. Common advice, such as 'buck up' or 'eat less, exercise more,' offered little relief. It was during a layoff from my engineering job that I found myself in a nutrition clinic, setting the stage for a transformative encounter with my mentor.

Recognizing potential thyroid issues, my mentor prompted thorough testing, revealing hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s. A personalized meal plan and prescribed medication became pivotal in my journey to recovery. Embracing a diet rich in healthy proteins, fats, and vegetables, I witnessed a profound shift in my well-being. While medication remains a part of my routine, mindful food choices have allowed me to manage it at a lower dose.

My passion for nutrition ignited through my personal triumph, driving me to share the transformative impact of real food. This space aims to be both informative and enjoyable, fostering a community united by a common interest in optimal well-being through nutritious choices.

I believe in real food which includes a balanced diet of protein, healthy fats, vegetables and fruit. I am passionate about teaching others how real food can help the body and mind feel better. My advice and educational support is based on real scientific research.
